I am a mom just like you
I am Anca (1986) and I live in Arnhem since 2011. This gave me of course the inspiration for naming this website.
I was born in Romania and lived in several European countries before I decided to join my boyfriend who chose to study in the Netherlands. As you guessed, we never left 😊.
I knew I would carry my son before he was born
My babywearing story starts of course with my son (2017). My mind was made up while being pregnant that I will give babywearing a shot. My boyfriend was sure that we would use a stroller, so he invested his energy into finding THE ONE.
Unfortunately, I didn’t quite prepare before giving birth, so I had not bought or made any research of the different carriers, nor ways to carry. Little did I know how deep the rabbit whole was. I did receive a SSC (soft structured carrier) from my mother in law which advertised that you could wear from birth (however with an insert which was not a great solution actually), and a ring-sling from a friend. I thought that was enough 😉. Once M. was born, I didn’t wear at all for a few days, but gave the carrier a try at our first time going outdoors.
Long story short, I spent ever since many hours searching about babywearing history, all wearing possibilities, different ways to use a wrap, other uses you can give a wrap (that’s how I landed the rebozo massage class) and joined a wonderful community which definitely changed my life for the better.
Now I hope I can spread this new-found love and help others on their path in wearing their little ones.

The perfect carrier for your needs
As every body is different, the carriers should be first tested and then the best fit chosen. Unfortunately, a few minutes are not enough to make sure that the chosen carrier is comfortable, so for a small price you can rent it for a few days or weeks (or for a holiday) and decide if it is a keeper.
Babywearing workshop
From belly to babywearing
During the basic workshop I will show you all the different ergonomic carriers. After my demonstrations, you will have the chance to put in practice what you've seen . You can use one of the carriers available and the baby-wearing weighted dolls to simulate the baby. Once you will graduate, you should be ready to baby-wear and know which system you want to buy/rent/receive/borrow. If you decide to rent please go to the shop menu of the website and check out what carriers and wraps there are.
Rebozo massage
Relax and breathe
Although this massage can be given to anyone, I will focus first to pregnant women. The rebozo massage is a great way for the future partners to connect and start their journey as parents. The father will learn how to give the massage and mom will enjoy it. If you are further along in the pregnancy your back-pain will be taken care of. Also your baby will be rocked while you will remember how it felt not to always carry it's weight. Taking away headaches will just be the ending bonus ;).
