Stretchy wrap

Stretchy wraps are the best choice for a newborn. They will take the shape of your baby, will offer the right support it's squishy body needs and will give you the perfect back support if you stretch the straps on your back. Because it stretches, you can take the baby out without needing to redo the job. The only disadvantage it has is that it cannot carry too much weight (most are around 9 kg quite uncomfortable),  but for this reason you can choose a second-hand one (if you have a tight budget) or a hybrid one (which is thicker and will last longer, however not great for really hot summers).

Hand woven wrap

The handwoven wraps are different from the machine woven ones firstly because someone created them and put their love and passion into making them by hand, for you. They are normally less complicated as patterns, but just by playing with colors and different fiber combinations/blends, the results can be a piece of art. Some weavers can be spotted a mile away, as they have their own style. These wraps are normally a bit softer and you will feel the difference by touching them. They will open up a whole new world if you go down this rabbit whole and will definitely teach you a thing or two about fibers, where they come from, how you take care of them and make you a bit more critical when buying clothes. The great community coming with it is just a delicious bonus! :)

Machine Woven wrap

The woven wrap is most versatile babywearing option. It can go from first days to the end of your babywearing days. You can do front, hip and back carries with it. It is the only solution that will have your very curious baby high on your back so it can look over your shoulder. Not to say the great view it gets from that height. The machine woven wraps offer a great range of patterns and colors, not to say fibers and blends. They are a joy to look at and can have really affordable prices. Once you are over your babywearing years, you can even save it and pass it on the next generation.
